Today was date day. We went out for bagels and donuts and a bit of window shopping :) I have to admit that due to school stress I wasn't really completely into it, but if there's someone who can calm me down when I get all mental (apathetic half the time and ridiculously stressed the other half) it's him.
I decided that it's better for my mental health if I don't study for my matriculation exams today, so instead I took a long bath with a fizzer, made a yummy greasy dinner and listened to the velvet underground. I might still light some incense to perfect this evening of relaxation :) It is working, though, I'm pretty much back to normal now. Nothing like a good, lazy Sunday afternoon.
I basically live in my Levi's. I wore them with an asos dress (as a top) and little black shoes from DINSKO.
A chainy-knotty neckalce thing, one of my faves (from Glitter)
A new ring from Ibero (cost a measly 2 euros :P)
My incredibly healthy (cough, cough) fry-up dinner consisting of 4 huge mushrooms, an egg, 4 slices of bacon and a tomato. All seasoned with Italian herbs and fresh basil. Mmmmm :) (I know, I know: it looks like breakfast.)
Bath-time perfection: Sephora bath fizzers (courtesy of my bff, who has no idea how much they really helped today!).
Next week I honestly don't have anything but school to look forward to (at least yet), so hopefully I won't bore you guys to death :) If it's any consolation: I'm pretty much out of school in a few months and on to more exciting endeavors.
Here's wishing you lot a very happy and exciting week!
Today was chaotic (to say the least). I had every intention of wearing something devastatingly gorgeous, show up and stick it to the people who love to make life hard for me. The weather seemed to disagree. I ended up going all autumny (layers, coat, hat, wellies etc.). I was completely drenched once I walked in, so I think my great entry looked like a sad, wet mouse sneaking down the stairs and slipping on the final one. Yep, that's me.
We only had school for a few hours and all of it was homeroom, which just turned into a massive argument between the loudest folk. Though I think that I'm very capable of voicing my opinion I had no interest in getting caught up in all that drama. It got so bad people actually stormed out. Haha. Thank god I don't have to take this for much longer.
There were funny parts to the day as well, like seeing all of our epic teachers and giving them a HUGE round of applause. It was also cute/funny to see the new firsties arrive (H's little sister in tow).
It was a blast seeing my friends again and we went to mcD's to hang out and gossip about the day and giggle for a few hours before heading to town to pick up some school essentials (krhm, eyeliner...). Were back to our old trick of planning trips and events. So I can feel a good year coming on.
On one hand I'm looking forward to tomorrow because I know that my mates are there for me, but some people I'd rather not have to face again.
So sorry about the rant (but I HAD to take it out somewhere!!!!).
OOTD and other stuff:
Replay wellies, Levi's jeans (I do love my denim labels), an anchor-t layered under a basic grey knit and what I call the lovechild of a trench and a blazer (from MONKI). I totally ignored the accessories (BAD ninja), but I did manage to throw on a hat.
As I was leaving my mother had to mention that she thought that I looked like a hobo...I don't know about that but I do like a lot of hoboish clothes (there I go with the inventing of new words again...)
I got home a little peed off from today so I re-organized my shoes and bags and jewellery (some pictured)
That didn't help so I took a nap and lit some lily-scented incense afterwards. I feel a bit better now.
Looking forward to tomorrow: new day-new clothes :P, hanging out with H after school, going to IKEA during our skip-lessons with my mates and having art with one of my favourite teachers (lovely, slightly bohemian and gossipy). This week I can also look forward to seeing one of my favourite bands, Flogging Molly, play at a night-club :) An added bonus is that one of my best friends (J, who I hung out with today) is joining me for it. More about that later, though! xxx Ninja
It was rainy again. I saw my wellies and they reminded me of pictures I've seen of Glastonbury style. I went all the way and did the whole wellies and shorts thing and I think I'm going to have my own imaginary festival in my bedroom with a lineup of my choice and just jump around and freak out like I was in a mosh pit :)
I FINALLY got my bestie back from France and the UK. Thank goodness. We caught up at the fleamarket, where we both made very good finds. The girl literally showered me with gifts (including a gorgeous floral playsuit from New Look and lots of food).Later we bummer a ride home with H, which was pretty funny (we had a little party in the backseat).
Crocker cut-offs paired with a flowy top with lace details (Gina Tricot) and an extended waistcoat (MONKI). Accessories include a little handbag with a quilt-print and sunnies in the style of Lennon.
My new wellies put to good use!
Owl pendant from my Belgian godmother
Brooch with chain tassels from MONKI
A (faux) fur hat that I just HAD to buy. But hey, it only cost a euro. And me, looking ever so fresh *cough, cough*
Levi's jeans and beige trousers from Zara. Also got a pair of Zara jeans (not pictured)
I didn't even buy these. I mention to my friend that I need new ballet-flats (the Zanottis are almost dead) and hey-presto there's a pair waiting for me in her bag. God, she knows me well!
I've been craving for a great pair of biker boots, ta-duh!
White slim Chucks
A parka from H&M kids, boy's section.
There was the creme de la creme of my finds ;) There's quite a bit more, but I'm far too lazy to post all of it.
The rest of my second to last day of holidays is going to be spent over a pile of magazines, mozzarella pizza and the clotted cream fudge my friend (let's call he S, shall we?) brought :) Perfection. Road-trip again tomorrow!!! :)
As I promised: a sun-filled update for you guys from the Island of Strömsö- the most lavish summer residence I have ever visited!
Most of the time was spent by the pool or watching movies or giggling till we couldn't breathe.
The most frequent sentence was "Oh my god, I'm so relaxed right now".
We ate when we were hungry (so pretty much all the time).
I now feel bad for the pool boy we stalked (but I'll be the first to admit that he was FIT)
We read about 12 magazines.
WE GOT TANNED!
So all in all quite a lovely weekend (thanks S if you're reading this ;)!
Here's some well-selected pictures for you lot (pretty quiet on the fashion front though, sorry):
Super chunky and comfy knit from H&M barely seen race-marine shoes (but they're not that special).
Nothing comes between me and my Levi's ;) Got these boyfriend cut (soo comfy) jeans at Cruel Age for 35 euros (75% off)
Gorgeous room. I fell in love with these Laura Ashley lamps. I think she should consider a career in interior decorating.
A big pile of glamour, cosmo and Marie Claire back issues= tons of fun!
Having dinner at the club (the snails were yum!...and the grilled burgers too...not to mention the chocolate cake. I'm SO spoiled)
I thrifted a maxi skirt, but then I noticed that it doesn't really suit my short (and slightly dumpy) figure. So I made it into a high waisted skirt (above) AND a crop top (below).
Believe it or not: WE MADE THIS ICE CREAM! And it was so good that it almost beat ben and jerry's...almost
Their doggy, Noosa. She's one of those cute crazy ones :)
