"White collar conservative flashin down the street,
pointing that plastic finger at me,
they all assume my kind will drop and die,
but I'm gonna wave my freak flag high."

The roaring twenties!

I have been invited to a super exciting new year's fancy dress party and I'm planning to go as a flapper....the problem is, I can't seem to find a fitting dress! Here's hoping that some inspo will help...

I am hoping and praying for the right dress to come along, because I know that a 20s outfit is something that nobody else would do!

If you have any tips or tricks in achieving this look PLEASE help!

This little piggy wants a time machine

By now I think you lot might have noticed how much I'm inspired by tv and movies. Well yesterday I watched a tv-adaptation of Agatha Christies Poirot: Five little pigs, and I fell in love with the vintage prints and hairstyles all over again! I love the femininity with a touch of rebellion, the luxurious fabrics, the fabulous headdresses and jewellery.I'm obsessed with classy black and white photography and all of these images I found are so gorgeous, the girls, the clothes and the setting. If I could turn back time...

Here's a bit of a vintage-mix of inspiration for you too:

A midsummer night's update

Here's my weekend in pictures:

A bit of vintage inspiration for our road-trip: dotted blouse, crocker jeans (chopped into shorts), H&M wedges and my  gorgeous (MINI) suitcase.

I alternated between the map and glamour (ahhh bliss) and he did all the hard driving.

To (try to) add to the vintage look I pinned my hair up (also because it was still oily from my oil treatment. It's cool now, btw).

Check out my delicious earrings from Mic Mac!

I couldn't NOT show off these bright clogs I wear at our summer house.

We found the most adorable and vibrant coloured egg!

A midsummer eve's (juhannus) tradition: a bonfire. Behind a glimpse of the summer house.

Beautiful sunset at around 10 pm. The sun was up again soon after (actually by the time we got to sleep at 3am it was bright as day again!)

a bit of artsy-fartsy photography.

Enjoying the sunset (and the great light for taking pictures... ;)

The perfect treat!
My outfit for the day after and the drive back: Beatles sweatshirt, tartan leggings, my new walking shoes and my "fat-jacket"

Happy midsummer to you all!

La vita รจ bella

I decided to post a quick outfit update before my friend arrives. I'm looking forward to a fun, relaxed day at home with lots of food and great company. It's finally warming up, I got to sleep in and I just had bacon and eggs for breakfast. Life is beautiful.

Today's shoes. I'm loving the vintage-feel in them. I thrifted them a while back so I know nothing about their history, who knows, they might actually be old...

ASOS sunnies, high-waisted pants (bought from Aurora of http://www.lily.fi/palsta/auroran-henkarit), stripy tank from H&M a knit from Lindex and a 2nd hand belt. (And because you're terribly interested, my hair is up with one of those ornamental comb-things)

Lots of kisses, love Ninja

xxxxxxxxxx (and then some more)
