Introducing: the bespectacled babe!

I told you a few weeks ago about me needing glasses- well the little ones finally arrived! And while I don't have to wear them constantly, I'm (at least for now) planning to really embrace the nerdy quirkiness :)

I got these cute designer boxes to go with them so I can tell them apart without opening the boxes 

I apologize for the crappy pictures, there was no photographer at hand today! Then again, the point wasn't to demonstrate how awesome I can look on film (cough cough), but to introduce these new cuties to you!

Hurry down the chimney tonight

I am lounging around writing a little post, listening to the rain and retro Christmas songs. Right now I love life.

I finally got Christmas presents for my darling little sisters! I decided to be a fashion fairy this year and get them both gift cards to h&m as well as a little pressie for both (a Christmas stocking for the younger one and a gorgeous red cocktail ring for the other). I hope they love them!
I also did a bit of shopping with J (a weekly ritual for us) after school and I found a really cute pair of knee-high socks (I've been lusting after them for AGES).
Here's my OOTD:

From the outside: the same jacket from yesterday and a really cushy scarf as well as my new cowboy-boots. Yeehaw!

Question:

Making Christmas

Yesterday I was absolutely shocked to hear that H had never made traditional plum tarts at Christmas so we immediately went out and got the supplies and I taught the poor guy how to bake (I mean he has to know how to cook if he ever wants to marry me!)

Here's how it went (and a few ootd pics, with a peek into my bedroom):

I took my new coat out for a test drive: PERFECT! I love the slim shape of it, because I can  play with volume better.

I wore: Vintage leather cutoffs, white shirt from Rome, Red vintage (80s) blazer, my coat (!) and a pair of my fave shoes that I just fixed :)

I accessorized with a tartan scarf and matching earrings as well as the beaded double ring from my haul post.

Since I was having a bit of a bad hair day I went with a braided and knotted hairstyle, which was a huge hit.

And to the baking:

even the folding was easy for him

Voila! Lovely brown, sugary tarts :D

10 days till Christmas!!!

Summary of my day: school, choir,noodles, driver's ed (that I almost fell asleep in). So much to do and so little time, but thank god this is our last full week before the hols.

Here's a peek at my outfit consisted mainly of my shopping from yesterday. Also, I do apologize for my hair, it curls when it rains.

FLEA HEIST!

Today me and S headed bright and early to the fleamarket to do a bit of digging and we both came back with our arms and bag full of the most beautiful things. We're good like that.

Without further ado, here's a bit of a photo explosion of my treasures:

My gorgeous new coat a la the Beatles in their early days. It's all in the collar, you know. Btw, only 50cents, no joke.

I got this gorgeous vintage blouse for 20 cents. Another man's trash is another's treasure for sure!

I've been looking for a lovely, warm, ruby-toned knit...VOILA!

Knee high boots by Finnish designer Pertti Palmroth for only 4 euros...there's a bit of fixing up to do  on them, but I think I'm up for it!

The time of my life

Yesterday I treated my bf to a stay at a lovely spa hotel for their annual Christmas party. We got relaxing spa treatments (aka we both fell asleep), we lounged around in the vip lounge in our bathrobes (and downed the can of ice tea), had a lovely three course meal (which I was meant to photograph, but totally forgot, because I was SO hungry), drinks at another lounge and then a bit of dancing at the club. This morning we woke up to a humongous breakfast buffet and lounged around a bit more in our ocean-view room :)  I honestly think that this is the best gift I ever got anybody!
Tomorrow I get to go fleamarketting with the bestest best bud of them all: Sharky! :)

Chipper as ever. Wearing a thrifted knit and boots, Levi's jeans and the same vest.

It sucks that it's over, but I'm so happy it happened :D  Makes for good memories of how silly and sweet we were when we were young. I just love how much we just enjoyed each others' company and just chatted away all night...that is until I fell asleep on his lap watching "weird or what". Ahhh, amore!
