The morning after

We got to sleep in for a looong time this morning :) H made me a massive Sunday breakfast complete with sausages, eggs, bacon, toast, orange juice and plenty of coffee! I haven't needed anything to eat since. Today I'm just gonna have a quiet day at home preparing for work tomorrow. I love Sundays!

A chilled out Sunday-outfit: band shirt from Istanbul, jeggings, Bianco footwear  platform heels a cute little coat and my favourite scarf!

haha H managed to capture a sneeze on camera :P!

I will have to take a piccie of my Subway uniform for you lot, it is just TOO funny :D I love it! I'm actually really enjoying my job so far, but I am getting a little sick of eating subs :P

p.s. I REALLY can't wait for Christmas!

The night before

H and I went to a really funky, trendy Mexican fusion restaurant (called Shaghai Cowboy). It had huge windows looking out to the street and a really cool interior with long benches and a "messy" loo with a razor blade seat. I love the jazzy music and the sense of humour of the restaurant and the food was fantastic! We had some delicious home made tortilla chips with salsa and guacomole (both fantastic!) for starters and chocolate and coca cola glazed ribs with cornbread and cabbage slaw (my fave!) for mains :) I can't begin to explain how wonderful it was and not too pricey:P
Perfect date after a long day of making sandwiches!
We're really starting to get into this whole eating out business, so the next place we wanna try out is a local TIKI-bar :)

I decided to put my new jumpsuit to good use last night. I thought that it was funky enough to suit the occasion (I did, however stick out like a sore thumb among all the grey-clad Finnish people...not that it's a bad thing!).  I threw on a string of (incredibly plastic) pearls to add a bit of glamour.

I love the winged sleeves!

This really has nothing to do with the text, but I loved the shadow :)

Surprise!

So last night we ended up not getting Italian food :D My bf, H,  had set up a HUUUGE surprise for me instead.

We made our way towards the intended restaurant, but right as we were getting there I spot a couple walking towards us. I squeal as I recognize them since they happen to be some of our best friends and got together on the exact same day as we did...coincidentally. I go to school with him, but as she graduated last year and works now I hadn't seen her in ages and, ofc,  missed her TERRIBLY (something I had complained to H about numerous times). Turns out that the boys had set up a double date without either of us knowing. We ended up going to a much fancier place: a steak house (where I had the best lamb chops with veggies and red wine sauce ever). It was just so many awesome hours of laughter and fun (I'm aware of the cliché)  topped off with amazing New York cheesecake:) Unarguably one of the best nights of my life!

I wore: a sparkly dress and a hat from H&M and a thrifted clutch.(I thought I looked a bit like a less busty Kim Kardashian in this dress, but H loved it so I don't mind :P)

And thrifted heels
H told me that to make up for my "disappointment" in not getting to spend one on one time with him (there was NO such feeling) he would be taking me to a nice restaurant that serves mexican inspired food with a twist (think bbq ribs with a coca cola and chocolate glaze etc :). I don't object to going out, but I really hope he doesn't honestly feel like he let me down, because I had the best time ever!

Hope all you lovelies had a great weekend (it seemed SO short, at least for me).

Somewhere over the rainbow

This morning was grey and rainy, so I decided to brighten it up with a bit of colour-blocking (great excuse to wear those new shoes and that blazer I've been dying to buy!). Another lazy day. Went out for a walk in the morning and made a lovely pizza dinner for the bf in the evening when he got back from work (once again: yes  I'm the best girlfriend).
I feel I've been a bit lazy with my outfits lately, but there's only so much you can do in the summer heat!
Istanbul countdown is well on it's way. Only Wednesday and Thursday to go!

Red, vintage 80s, linen blazer. Love! Wore it over a pair of black jeggings and a top from Gina Tricot.

Necklace from GLITTER

Owl ring from Seppälä

Lazy day tip: pile your hair on top of your head and use a plethora of pins. Easy-peasy and  casual chic.

Pizza with prosciutto, pineapple, mozzarella and rocket from our own backyard. With a side of green garden salad (also from our own garden) with olives and prosciutto. Pretty much a perfect meal in my humble opinion.

As you can probably tell I'm in an insanely good mood for a change (almost to the point of hysterics). Reason: the iPod is back in order (thanks to my bff), I swear life is dull without a perpetual stream of music.

Thanks to all of you lovely people who have been taking time to comment and follow, you make my day every day!

Look out sunshine!

Today was unbelievably chill: waking up after noon, sunbathing and hanging out with my sister. In the evening I met up with a friend for coffees...which soon turned into shopping. Oops!
Now I'm curled up on my sofa next to my purring laptop with the Fratellis invading my ears and forcing an involuntary toe-tap. This is the life:)
It's still taking time to get used to my new hair. I think it has finally finished developing the colour (it went redder for a few days). I'm still (positively) shocked every time I look in the mirror. But I'm in love with it.

Outfit of the day: Dress with bow details from Camden market (10 pounds) and  Dinsko heels bought off of  Emmi.

I have a bit of a sunglasses-fetish. Bought these retro ones on holiday in Estonia last year for 60cents.

I know I have stubby little sausage-fingers, but dammit I WILL wear big rings!

A bit of bling from GLITTER.

I couldn't NOT buy these gorgeous chunky heels from H&M, especially when the price-tag had a big red clearance sign  with a 3 on it. Yes, 3 euros. I've wanted a pair ever since they came in, but I'm way too cheap to pay 40e for summer shoes (It's only warm enough to wear them for a marginal time).
I was randomly reflecting on this summer I remembered this outfit (the tutu one) and how amazing I felt in it. MUST.WEAR.AGAIN!

I'm looking forward to a very busy few weeks: I'll be catching up with mates tomorrow and on Wednesday. Thursday is my packing day (and beach day with yet another friend) and on Friday I'm jetting off to beautiful Istanbul with my dad. The hotel should have wireless internet, so if in any way possible I'll be updating my blog from there, but if I can't you're looking at a HUGE update afterwards. I can't wait!

All the best to you lot
