The morning after

We got to sleep in for a looong time this morning :) H made me a massive Sunday breakfast complete with sausages, eggs, bacon, toast, orange juice and plenty of coffee! I haven't needed anything to eat since. Today I'm just gonna have a quiet day at home preparing for work tomorrow. I love Sundays!

A chilled out Sunday-outfit: band shirt from Istanbul, jeggings, Bianco footwear  platform heels a cute little coat and my favourite scarf!

haha H managed to capture a sneeze on camera :P!

I will have to take a piccie of my Subway uniform for you lot, it is just TOO funny :D I love it! I'm actually really enjoying my job so far, but I am getting a little sick of eating subs :P

It's only rock and roll (BUT I LIKE IT)

I haven't done anything worthwhile today (besides watching Australia's Next Top Model...does that count?).

Here's a speedy outfit update:

Denim jacket- H&M, Thrifted flannel shirt, The Clash shirt also thirfted, Mini skirt-H&M, boots-MONKI

proclaiming my love for The Clash

My new shoes from MONKI that already make a quick appearance in a previous post (70% off!)

Now I'm off to do some grocery shopping (I'm cooking for my boyfriend later...hope I don't cock it up :P).
I also got a little package for him from ASOS that just arrived...I love surprising people! :D

Glam-iators let loose

A kaftan-y tunic-y type of thing (with shorts under!)

Some sort of gladiator sandals, only one euro from the (need I say?) fleamarket.

One of my favourite bags

And some jewellery from Tanzania:

Don't you love it when you see and old friend and you pick up right were you left things? Well that's the story of my day! We went shopping but just ended up walking in circles and chatting for HOURS. It's great to know that even though I might not see her all the time, she's still here for me.
Despite the distractions, I did happen to find quite a nice necklace for 3,60 euros (-70% !!!) and a hair-repair treatment thingy (which I'll tell more about later once I figure it out).
Today's my last day dogsitting the puppy...and as icky as it is sometimes I think I'll actually miss it!
I have great plans on what to wear tomorrow, I just hope I still like it in the morning (I'm prone to mood-swings) :)

Lots of love,

Irinja

Carried away + a little extra

Yesterday my boyfriend prepared a rooftop picnic for me! Good food and good company definitely makes a good day. On the downside I got fined, because apparently my metro ticket hadn't registered properly at the machine. As if it's my fault that their machines are rubbish! Well, now I have to scrape together 80 euros for it, unless my complaint goes through (fingers crossed). This morning we made a really big bacon and eggs breakfast and watched queer eye for the straight guy :)

This dress with the tutu-like hem reminds me a little of the tutu Carrie wears in the opening sequence to Sex and the City. I paired it with a simple straw hat with a ribbon and no jewellery to keep it somewhat casual.

Did my hair in a quick and chic braided chignon . I love my sequined bikini to bits, the champagne colour really emphasizes the little tan I have.

Since I was wearing rather dressy ensemble yesterday I decided to wear something more relaxed and quirky today. Still following the rather simple style I've grown to love, I went with a very basic black mini, sunnies and my favourite "non-band shirt"t-shirt (there's a mouthful for you). My hair is usually straight with a slight curl or a wave, but today I woke up with a frizz. Instead of desperately trying to tame it, I decided to work with it and incorporate it into the quirkiness of my look.

Sorry about that caption. You'd think I'm writing like a novel here from the walls of text.

My boyfriend surprised me with a little plastic bag from H&M containing something rather cute (which you will be seeing tomorrow). HINT: It's orange! (I've been craving for something orange throughout this spring, because it seems to be the colour of the moment.)

'Till tomorrow, then

From the archives

A look from February, featuring my favourite coat (which I affectionately refer to as my second boyfriend):
Wintery Stockholm. Mum-made scarf, coat from the flea market (3 euros!!!!!), Zara floral top, Pieces Jeggins and army boots from the fleamarket, a DELICIOUS swedish hotdog and some shopping <3 Great day all together.

It was a beautiful day

Today I had a park date with my boyfriend, followed by a trip to IKEA for hot-dogs and ice-cream! I decided to practice what I preach and wear a striped knit from H&M (trying to channel Audrey Hepburn here).

Knit originally from H&M, but since I bought it at the flea market it only cost me 2euros, shorts also from the flea market, blue ballerinas with crocheted details H&M (about 13euros) and classic aviator sunnies (my absolute favourites!)

A closer look at today's bag. A gorgeous vintage piece (late 60's- early 70's I'd say) that I saved from the thrift store. It still needs a bit of fixing up (I need to sew a new flap on top), but I couldn't help seeing the potential in it.

I'll keep this one short and sweet, thanks for reading.
