I always imagined that university was a place where you just went , well living life is proving me wrong. While I'm most certainly not working on my application constantly, there is that little voice in my head that keeps telling me that I'm not good enough and that there's no way that I'll ever make it. There is another question that comes up when I allow myself to imagine going off to uni: do I really want to? Yes, it's been a dream of mine to study in the UK for as long as I can remember. But people grow and dreams change. I have been fortunate enough to find somebody I'd give everything for,  and  leaving him behind (even for that one year) might just be the final blow.
In addition to all of this I still have my finals, looming just a few months away and I honestly can't say that I've made much of an effort to study yet.
The reason I'm telling you all of this is that all of this stuff that's going on is affecting my creativity levels, my motivation to get up in the mornings and especially blogging. I feel like I have constant writers block. Reading other people's blogs just proves how utterly incompetent and uninspiring I am as a blogger.
Okay, so this is starting to sound like a good-bye letter (hold your horses you hopefuls), but there is no way I'm going away yet- this is my lifeline!

Thank you for being around this year, here's to another!

Lots and lots of loooooove!

The Ninja has been stuffed but, more importantly, dressed. Thank you all for your holiday greetings and I wish you all peace and happiness as well. I've had a lovely family Christmas (possibly the last one I will be spending entirely with them) full of board games, traditional movies and SO MUCH FOOD! And tomorrow I'm finally getting my little lover, H, back from the north where he's been visiting his relatives.

-Here's a few ootd's, but don't be expecting one today....it's PYJAMA DAY!

Christmas eve:
I did a bit of that Christmas tree style thing with a green H&M jumpsuit a denim vest and some appropriate jewellery

The hair was a chic little ballerina top knot with a bit of sparkle
 Christmas day (luncheon with relatives):

Ruffled skirt from H&M, Zara blazer, a pair of killer heels and a statement necklace.

I also experimented with a chic little updo (I gathered all my hair onto the nape of my neck). Unfortunately I totally forgot to take any photographic evidence of my success. Soz.

Necklace from the grand bazaar in Istanbul

I watched a REALLY great movie today called the inside man which was about a pretty  unusual bank robbery. It was really exciting and side-splittingly funny at the same time. Great cast and really fun plot with lots of twists and turns, guaranteed entertainment. What's equally as entertaining is watching the movie with my dad and seeing his almost hysterical laughter fits throughout.

Christmas kisses!

EDIT: Why do I touch my hair so much in pictures...god, I should just hire a model to wear my clothes it would make life SO much easier.

Are you like me and tend to get bored during Christmas (when there's not food on the table and friends around, that is)? Well, worry no more! Because I have compiled a little list of wonderful movies (some Christmassy and some far from it) to watch during the holidays. These are all some of my favourite feel good movies that I go back to again and again:
Great actors, amazingly funny plot and awesome Christmas sweaters.
I think that this one really is a measure of a good sense of humour (or just a similar one to mine)

A real classic with a star cast of musicians including James Brown and Aretha Franklin. Also around 300 cars were destroyed during the making of Blues Brothers, so it HAS to be good :P

Classic rom-com!

I love how lightly this movie tackles the issues of cultural integration. Plus I totally love football. win-win.

Tim Burton. Need I say more?

Fun and whimsical, a must see for sure.

This is just outrageous fun a la the 60s with really fun characters. H and I absolutely loved it!

Christmas oldie classic

Watching this is a MUST every Christmas

These are the ones I can think of off the top of my head: I hope you enjoy them! Very soon I'll also be posting my own "to watch"-list of movies I've wanted to see for a while.

Enjoy your holidays!

No more teachers!

I'm on holiday! Yesterday we had Christmas church to mark the end of school and H and I grabbed some yummy sushi afterwards. Today I've had a lazy morning: huge English breakfast, walk with the dogs and looking through old photo albums. H and I booked a little mini-holiday with my family (more on that in about a week!). Today I'm going to try out Zumba with the bestest BFF ever :D

I did a bit of a two-in-on ootd yesterday: a fancier one for church and a chilled out one for lunch etc.

my fave knit, bodycon dress from H&M, pertti palmroth shoes, thrifted jacket and a cool little felt hat.
in this one you can see the texture of the knit a little better...

H insisted on me adding this one, because he loves my angry face...I wasn't too happy with pictures  taken previously and I was feeling really awkward in front of the camera :P
So the second outfit was just the dress, shell earrings, a little ring and high heels. Simple!
Earrings..

Christmas is creeping on me real quick (thank goodness I only have 1 pressie to buy!)

"White collar conservative flashin down the street,
pointing that plastic finger at me,
they all assume my kind will drop and die,
but I'm gonna wave my freak flag high."

-Jimi Hendrix

H&M jacket, Aviator shoes from dinsko, sparkly tee from Istanbul, jeggings and a knitted headband.

Ninja over and out. (sending you all sorts of love)

Crisp white Christmas outfit

Title says all. It was our school x-mas party today and we were on dress-code so I couldn't rely on comfy jeans to beat the cold. Well, this was the next best thing. I also wore a dark red printed scarf, but ofc I was in too much of a hurry to grab it for this quick shoot...so sorry!

Blouse from Brandy Melville, Zara trousers, Cubus knit and Pertti Palmroth shoes.

What I would give to be in Britain right now...

if just to buy this beauty:

Kimono style, fur lined jacket from Primark. YUM! And only 30 pounds; not much for something you'll wear over and over!

Anybody wanna treat me for Christmas?

The roaring twenties!

I have been invited to a super exciting new year's fancy dress party and I'm planning to go as a flapper....the problem is, I can't seem to find a fitting dress! Here's hoping that some inspo will help...

I am hoping and praying for the right dress to come along, because I know that a 20s outfit is something that nobody else would do!

If you have any tips or tricks in achieving this look PLEASE help!

Keepin' my head cool

and, well, warm too...
While sales shopping today I found two irresistible head-accessories. And for the combined price of 8e it didn't even stretch my budget!

So I found (or actually H found) me a bowler hat and a cute little wintery headband

H said that I look like a winter-hippie...I'll take that :D!

only 3 more days of school!

Ninja (loves you!)

Christmas came early!

Yesterday my bf gave me my pressie: a voucher for a dinner and a fleamarket shopping trip courtesy of him. He knows me SO well :P And today when we were shopping he got it into his head to further treat me, and bought me the most amazing aviator jacket! ahhh...

Just look at it!!!

So here's a shout-out to the boy who really makes my life magical, year round!
